just kidding i don't have a new iphone. i can't deny i would like a new one though.
i realized why i have taken up blogging my day-to-day nothingness. rose summed it up when she said it would be cathartic. talking to little people (and i don't mean little people, big world people) all day has its advantages and disadvantages. on the positive side there is a lot less judgement when dealing with kids. they don't care what you're wearing or even if you are dressed at all. meals are pretty easy. you can make my kids anything with warm cheese in or on it and they think you are a chef. i pass veggies and grapes off as awesome snacks all day long therefore making two choco chip teddy grahams look like a banana split!
but when all you do is talk to and interact with kids during a given day, when you hear yourself about 1:15 you think what the crap am i talking about that for. "no honey, a mouse can't be your brother." "we can't keep a chicken in our backyard" my brother says i'm losing my mind. it's possible he thinks i was smarter than i really was to begin with.
so the blog will be therapeutic? i guess maybe. although i have to admit it's easier to write when i'm pissed about something. so i guess i'll be trying to get angry more often so i can feel better about it faster.
ultimately you should know if you are reading this, you are one of about three people and that's enough of a following for me. it's too embarrassing to send this to more people. and cindi hears all the crazy stories i have to tell anyway so sending to her was like cheating.
this photo's old but i love it

No, you're not losing your mind. When I was home with Kaity, I remember following Tom around the house for the first 20 minutes he got in from work--there were days when he was the only adult I talked to! But...in the end, those little days of nothingness fade away and you're left with memories of trying to teach your little girl how to say "Yellow"...and in your mind's eye you remember those little triumphs..."ya...ya...ya...llellow"!!!! Enjoy the rest of your day! clf
Wow... that was pretty sentimental.
I'm not sure I would call that a *triumph* - Kaity still has a hard time with "yellow". True story.
You know, Shawn, you have an obligation to your reading public. Update!
